 By: Betty Bradford Byers I've always been captivated by the written word, and now I'm in the place where I've always wanted to be-putting words to paper whenever the lightning strikes. The last three years have been a joy. In many respects, those years mark my true beginning. I've found that writing has always been buried somewhere deep inside and that it is as much a part of me as the air I breathe. I'm often asked from where do my ideas spring? How have I produced five books in two and a half years? And the answer is simple-I've just let go. I've tapped into and released a surge of creativity that I believe has lain dormant for years, simmering beneath the surface, merely waiting to be discovered. In 2001, when I was in the midst of writing my first novel, Wired for Murder, I made an amazing discovery. Writing was what I was supposed to do, and I'd worked years before finding my calling. As my writing continued, my creativity flourished, and one after the other, the books arrived. The Big Payback, an extension of ideas that did not surface in the previous book, was released in 2002 and gave me the impetus that I needed. Murder Unwired and The Whitlow Sanction: Volume I, both published in 2003, appeared in rapid succession. The fifth novel, The Arcana Connection, a 2004 publication, sparked other ideas. This work has been an unending process, one pursued with love and intense emotion, and I truly love it. The five published novels are a collection of three separate stories: The Wired trilogy, The Payback trilogy, and The Whitlow trilogy. I am currently in the process of completing the final novel in The Wired trilogy, Wired Straight. Look for it in the spring of 2005. Have I been bored? Not for a minute. Will I continue? You betcha.
